A Barksville Wedding, Week 3: The Bachelor Party
Why enrichment? Enrichment gives dogs an outlet for their natural instincts (sniffing, searching, solving) and works their brain, not just their legs. A few minutes of sniff-and-search or puzzle work takes real effort, so dogs go home happily tired: body exercised, brain satisfied, confidence a little bigger. How our enrichment works
In week 3 of A Barksville Wedding (February 2026), Metro Animals daycare dogs in Fort Worth and Plano pushed presents along a path, showed off tricks, ran an obstacle course, popped bubbles, and followed a snack sniff trail.
The proposal was a success, and all the dogs of Barksville were ramping up for the wedding parties. Everyone was getting ready for the big day, and we may even have found our ring bearer, wearing a ring headband that we think was a perfect fit.
Before the wedding came the bachelor party, and this week’s enrichment menu was built around it.

- Party Present Push Path. The dogs helped deliver presents to the wedding present tables by gently pushing them along a short path: problem solving, and using their snoots for more than just sniffing.
- Teach the Groom a New Trick. The dogs showed off their tricks to help the groom stand out on his big day. Learning together builds new skills, communication and confidence while keeping basic obedience sharp.
- Obstacle Order Memory Game. A short obstacle sequence completed in the right order, just like a pre-party rehearsal, for focus and memory.
- Bubbly Bachelor Bubble Trail. Dog-safe bubbles floated across the floor to watch, sniff and gently pop. At the Bubble Bachelor Party, scented bubbles and balloons covered the dance floor while the groomsmen busted their moves.
- Bachelor Party Snack Trail. A tasty sniff trail led the dogs through the different party zones, encouraging calm exploration and natural scent work.
We showed our guests some love through group enrichment, too. Group work is great for behavior regulation, helping pups refocus and relax while staying with their play groups.
In Plano, Coco always has her eyes on the prize, and this week one prize was a puzzle toy.

By Sunday the party zones were set up and ready for guests. Time to get the dresses and ties on.

How to join the next adventure
Enrichment is an add-on to any daycare day at Metro Animals — ask for it at drop-off, by the day, the week or the whole month. It’s part of the program that earned us the highest score in the country at the 2024 Dog Gurus Daycare Games. Read more about how our enrichment works, and if your pup is new to the pack, find your nearest location — every new dog’s first day is free.
It’s a great day to play!
