Dogwarts and the Tri-Wizidog Tournament, Week 4: The Dogwarts Finale
Why enrichment? Enrichment gives dogs an outlet for their natural instincts (sniffing, searching, solving) and works their brain, not just their legs. A few minutes of sniff-and-search or puzzle work takes real effort, so dogs go home happily tired: body exercised, brain satisfied, confidence a little bigger. How our enrichment works
In week 4 of Dogwarts (September 2026), a wizard-school theme, Metro Animals daycare dogs in Fort Worth and Plano finished with a sniffing treasure hunt, a tunnel and obstacle maze, sensory play and an awards ceremony.
The Dogwarts finale had arrived. The lessons were learned and the spells practiced; now the students would put everything to the ultimate test in the Tri-Wizidog Tournament. First came the Dragon Egg Test. Those who advanced faced the mysterious Underwater Task, and then the final challenge: the dreaded Maze. At its center, a Portkey waited to whisk everyone back to Dogwarts for one last celebration.
The story ends with the End-of-Tournament Feast: treats and pupshakes in the Great Hall, the big reveal of the House Tournament winner, and an address from Professor Dumbledog, who thanks the Barksvillians for honoring the Goblet’s wish and celebrates everything they achieved on their way to becoming fine young witches and wizards.

The week 4 enrichment menu:
- The Goblet of Fire Challenge: investigating a series of magical stations to uncover the correct clue and earn the chance to continue in the tournament.
- Stealing the Golden Dragon Egg: sniffing and problem-solving through the dragon’s lair, then tackling the golden egg to uncover the tasty treasure inside.
- Tri-Wizidog Maze: tunnels, changing surfaces, obstacles and sensory surprises that build confidence and problem-solving.
- Quidditch Master: the inter-house Quidditch tournament, with 100 house points for the winners.
- The House Cup Awards Ceremony: a moment in the spotlight for every pup, recognizing their unique strengths, favorite skills and magical achievements.
In Fort Worth, Divot was all ready to go and recruiting teammates for the big Quidditch match, and Murray looked very studious working on his magical skills. As the month wound down, the witches and wizards pushed through the final stretch of their lessons, and then it was time to celebrate all the hard work.

How to join the next adventure
Enrichment is an add-on to any daycare day at Metro Animals — ask for it at drop-off, by the day, the week or the whole month. It’s part of the program that earned us the highest score in the country at the 2024 Dog Gurus Daycare Games. Read more about how our enrichment works, and if your pup is new to the pack, find your nearest location — every new dog’s first day is free.
It’s a great day to play!
