Dogwarts and the Tri-Wizidog Tournament, Week 3: Quidditch and the Forbidden Forest

Why enrichment? Enrichment gives dogs an outlet for their natural instincts (sniffing, searching, solving) and works their brain, not just their legs. A few minutes of sniff-and-search or puzzle work takes real effort, so dogs go home happily tired: body exercised, brain satisfied, confidence a little bigger. How our enrichment works

In week 3 of Dogwarts (September 2026), a wizard-school theme, Metro Animals daycare dogs in Fort Worth and Plano tested their agility, sniffed out a hidden Golden Snitch and followed scent clues through a woodland-themed forage area.

It was time to take the magic outside. The Dogwarts students set paw on the famous Quidditch Pitch, where sporting legends are made, to put their reflexes, agility and strength to the test. Becoming a Quidditch star takes more than athletic ability, though: every student also had to hunt for the elusive Golden Snitch, noses first. Then the adventure took a mysterious turn. The Follow the Spiders Challenge led the pack deep into the heart of the Forbidden Forest, where, as everyone in the wizidog world knows, you can’t take anything for granted.

The week 3 enrichment menu:

  • Forbidden Forest Forage: searching a woodland-inspired forage area full of natural textures and tasty finds.
  • Follow the Spiders: exploring woodland textures, scents and hidden spider clues on the way to the giant spider’s nest.
  • Aragog’s Escape Route: investigating three magical pathways and choosing the one that leads safely back to Dogwarts.
  • Escape From the Forbidden Forest: webs, fallen logs and narrow pathways on the way to Houndrid’s secret escape route.
  • Houndrid’s Story Time: settling down around Houndrid’s campfire with their handlers for story time, gentle attention and calming activities to relax and recharge.

In Fort Worth, the Sorting Hat kept calling out houses (Griffonclaw for one pup, Hufflepup for another), Odin grew in confidence and showed off his new look, and the pups learned to sniff out potion ingredients. They practiced teamwork, since the Bark Arts and mystical beasts are hard to defeat alone, and ventured outside the school into the Forbidden Enchanted Forest. Then came a crisis: the Golden Snitch went missing before the big match, and the wizarding pups had to find it and put their heads together for an unbeatable Quidditch plan. Kalani showed off her skills, and Mollie Mae proved to be one very cute wizard.
