Frequently Asked Questions

Where do the dogs go to the bathroom?

We have a specially-designed “potty pit” in the back patio filled a foot deep with pea gravel. The dogs learn quickly that this is where they are supposed to do their business. Even puppies learn within a day or two.

What does my dog do all day?

The question should be: what don’t they do all day! They run, jump, explore, make friends, play tag, tug, catch, soccer, they climb on the Little Tykes equipment outside, hide, collapse on the couch, snuggle, wrestle, sleep, sniff, bark, howl, dig, roll, swim, drink, paw at the water, obey our basic commands, learn routines, learn good dog behavior, learn how to get along with other dogs, and a bunch more!

Can you board my dog when I go out of town?

Although we are not set up as a traditional kennel, arrangements can be made for currently enrolled daycare dogs who are familiar with our staff and facility. Please call for more details.

What can I expect from my dog when they first start daycare?
Expect them to be very happy, tired, and possibly have sore paws for the first few days until they get used to running so much.   Remember, just like kids on a playground, they can get minor scratches and bruises.
Do Small Dogs have as much fun as bigger dogs?

Of Course!  They get as much socialization, exercise, and love from our staff as the big dogs, just in our separate small dog area.

What happens if there is an emergency?
While nothing serious has ever happened here, we do have a vet clinic four doors down from our building. It is our job to make sure your dog is safe and happy, but accidents can happen.  Your dog will be given immediate medical attention should the need arise.
Can my dog come for a half-day?

Yes. We'd prefer they come in the morning(so their energy level matches the rest of the group) and can stay for up to 5 hours.  Half days are great for senior dogs!

I just adopted a puppy....Can I bring him/her to daycare?

YES! Please strongly consider bringing your new puppy to daycare! We love puppies and believe that starting them on the road to socialization at an early age will set them up to be happy, well-behaved dogs for the rest of their lives.  We give puppies of any age individual attention and help them learn basic commands.  Being part of a pack quickly teaches them how to act and how to get along with other dogs and people.

My dog needs training: Can you help?

Yes!  We have the good fortune of having Jana Sowell the Dog Coach and Karen Deeds from Canine Connection on our team to help with any training needs you may have.  They are  competent, certified trainers who can work with you one-on-one or in a group class setting here at the daycare.  Please call to make arrangements and for additional questions.

I have to be at work before you open.  Are there any options for me?

Yes! We can work with your schedule for an extra fee.  Please call us to discuss.
